# Markets

**Markets are where you predict on a single outcome, or stack up to nine legs into one ticket. You tell us what you want and how much, market makers compete to fill it, and you get a live price back in seconds.**

* **Getting a price.** Longshot v1 runs on RFQ, not an orderbook. Instead of placing an order and waiting for a counterparty, you express your prediction and market makers compete to fill it. You get executable odds back instantly.
* **Combos are native.** Up to \[9] legs on one ticket.
* **No exit before resolution.** In v1, once your order is filled there is no selling out mid-event.
* **Fees.** You pay only on winning tickets. 75bps on single legs and 250 bps on multi leg tickets. Nothing on losers.
* **Resolution.** When the event ends, your ticket settles to a win or a loss and winnings hit your balance automatically.

**Payout caps.** We currently have a \$500 payout cap in place for crypto up/down markets. We will relax this over time.
